What You Need To Get Your Prescription Refilled
These days more and more people are turning to telemedicine visits to get the medical care they need. Whether you have simple questions or concerns about your health, or you simply need a prescription refilled, the telemedicine specialists at MyHealth make it easy to get the care you need with the click of a button (or mouse). At MyHealth we offer “exceptional care, made easy." That’s our promise to you. If you, like millions of Americans, take prescription medication, here’s what you need to know about having them refilled.
Check Your Prescriptions Regularly
If you’re about to hop on a telemedicine call with us, you should check all of your current prescriptions to see if any of them are close to running out. If so, you can address this with us during your appointment so that we can refill your prescription. You mustn’t wait until your medication has run out to let us know you need a prescription refilled. You should call your pharmacy about 2-3 days before you’re out of your medication.
After all, sometimes it can take the pharmacy a day or two to fill an order, depending on the type of medication; however, if you won’t have enough of your medication before your telemedicine appointment, do give us a call and let us know that you need to have a prescription refilled right away and we will do our best to help.
Emergency Prescription Problems
Sometimes an emergency arises where you need an immediate refill. This might happen if you lose your medication, or it was stolen. When these urgent needs arise, we can also work with you to provide you with the prescription refill you need.
Getting Your Prescription Refilled with MyHealth
Whether you are getting a prescription through us or you are switching your current provider to our MyHealth system, there is some information we will need during your appointment to make sure that you get the prescriptions you need. You will need to be able to provide the patient’s full name and date of birth, along with a contact number, your pharmacy of choice, and the name of the medication (and dosage).
Whether you need medication to ease your flu symptoms or you need to simply refill your diabetes medication, the telemedicine team at MyHealth can make sure that you get the exceptional care you deserve without having to travel to a doctor’s office.
